The power of written words
Sunday, July 15th, 2007Have you ever thought about what you wrote in your MSN, Friendster, my space? i remembered when i was a bit younger, i was playing a lot of IRC where it was quite interactive but it does not really record down what was written but now we have all the platforms available for us to pen down our thoughts and tell ppl how we feel.
You know, what we write can realy impact people around us whether it is postive or negative. we have to ask ourselves constatnly what words are we writing. Many times, we write to show our agnst in another way. It like an outlet for us to frustrate out hoping that someone out there can understand us and encourage us. We all want to be heard in one way or another isn’t it?
Well, there is another ‘blog’ that is so powerful that you got to try it. Long time ago, God has already commissioned Godly people to blog down his heart and his will for his people! Then you will say but Pastor Gary, it is just words!!!!! You are right! One look at it, it just another bible in the bookshelf but one thing that is powerful about the bible is this. if you take time to read, take time to think through, take time to ask God what this verse means. God will speak to you in most personal way you never experienced before.
Words are important to God. His words in the bible is to empower us to live strong and defeat the enemy when they try to pull us down. So do you read the bible daily? Do you really try to understand the word? What’s your attitude on this? Ok.. tell you what… if you have not been reading. I would like to encourage you to read daily. Take 15mins. Read one chapter a day, pray about it, jorunal it down so that you can reflect upon it. if you do it for at least one month, i promise you that something within you will change. You will love and experience God like never before. Dare to try? Well for those who are consistent in their tawg then make every effort to try to memorize one verse per week!
Mighty Warriors, it time to jump into the word!
